JLG Forklift Parts - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora set out on a cross country excursion in their RV. Recently retired, after spending several years working with his brother to assemble their crane business into an industry leader, John had no idea that fateful trip would allow JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling equipment was the end consequence of a road expedition.
During their trip, John reacquainted himself with previous business acquaintances along the way. In combination with these conversations and a significant event; two workers had been tragically electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John uncovered an infinite marketplace for a product that could promptly and safely lift individuals in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.
Upon returning from their travels, John formed a partnership with two friends and purchased a metal fabricating company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, starting operations with a crew of twenty personnel, they manufactured and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The company incorporates many of the basic design essentials of that original lift into existing models.
JLG forklifts have come a long way since Mr. John L. Grove came back to town from his cross-country road trip and since the first aerial work platform debuted on the market. At present, the business proudly continues to expand itself into various markets globally and develops new products to make sure customers are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
